Banner after Christmas selling season!
Wow, who'd have predicted that my December sales would be made after Christmas! Thanks to all of you for stopping by the store and a special thanks to my customers who've purchased my treasures. I'm in the process of designing vintage fabric handbags and will post some pictures soon. In the mean time, stay warm, it's -6 here today :)

The Ebay experience....

Well, my selling on ebay is off to a start. I've managed to sell 4 out of 10 items listed so that's not too bad. However only 2 out of the 4 buyers have paid so that's not so good. I don't mind if the wedding dress I sold stays in my inventory since I feel it's a special dress that a winter bride will appreciate.
I've found the message boards on ebay to be extremely helpful. I'm gearing up for January. Taking pictures of all my wedding dresses and rhinestone jewelry to sell this spring. My guess is there will be some ladies out there receiving engagement rings this Christmas.
I'll post pics of some items that I'll list on this blog or better yet, head over to ebay in January and find me there. "Tinkpeterandladybug" is my name on ebay.

Store is Open!!
Opening weekend went well. I do need to purchase more inventory and get the remainder of what is in my closet to the store. It really is amazing what less than 200 square feet can hold. Positive feedback from the people who've ventured into the store. I'm working on getting a website up for the store in case someone out there runs across this blog. Today was the first day in the store with the Ladybug, my 16 month old. I picked her up from daycare at 1pm and brought her to the store until 5pm. I took her to the park and then Tink, her 15 year old sister, took her to the park again. It's a juggling act as any working mom knows. Don't know the direction of this blog but for now it'll be day to day, motherhood, store ownership and general observation blogs.
My little burg does have the MTv camera crews in town this weekend filming for one of their reality series. One of the kids on the show grew up here and now she's home for the weekend w/the fiance. Interesting how people are reacting to this kind of publicity.
I've got to finish reconditioning some linens (ie. washing) for the shop, so gotta go.
xoxo
